Let's hang out!
Hello, my friends,
Some exciting exciting news: After three solid years of virtual bookstore visits and book clubs, I’m doing my first in-person event! As we’ve slowly started adjusting to the new normal of living in covid-times, my team and I have been looking for opportunities to get out and (safely!) meet you in the wild. So we were over the moon when the St. Louis Cardinals reached out to see if we’d want to do an Emily Henry Theme Night (????/!!!!!) with them ahead of a game on Thursday, June 29th at Busch Stadium!
Basically what this means is, you can buy one of their theme night tickets, which will get you into our event as well as the baseball game right after it. There are VIP tickets, which include a signed copy, access to a meet and greet (we had to limit these so there will be time to talk to everyone) as well as a T-shirt for the event, but there are also standard tickets, which include the T-shirt and access to the book discussion right after the meet and greet. And then the baseball game of course!
I love St. Louis and am so excited for this event. I hope you can make it, but if you can’t, don’t fret! I am in talks with Joseph Beth and some other indies to try to get more in-person events together later in the year. I will also likely be polling you all to figure out what you actually like in author events, so we can design the most fun experience possible.
Thank you all for making the Happy Place release week one of the very best of my life. I’m going to go back to lying on my couch and staring at my ceiling with a sleepy smile on my face.
With so much love,
Emily
P.S. As far as groceries, both San Bitter and Stappi make a good dupe for a spritz/negroni if you’re looking for a summery non-alcoholic aperitif to enjoy over ice.
